Create a Laboratory Case
Laboratory cases may be created directly from the Case Manager or from within a patients collaboration folder. For demonstration purposes, a laboratory case will be initiated from the Case Manager. Creating a laboratory case in the ddsWebLink system takes less than 2 minutes and opens a new case file that can be tracked, monitored and managed from start to finish.
- From the main dashboard, select Create a New Laboratory Case from within the Shortcuts section on the right
- Indicate case type
- Locate the appropriate patient collaboration folder
- Select the dental laboratory to whom the case will be sent
- Indicate files, documents or images to be shared
- Select tooth or teeth affected
- Choose the required service or services
- Include pertinent notes or instructions
- Indicate shipping method or pick-up request
- Request a due date
- Set alert notifications
- Send completed laboratory request
