Create a Referral Case

Referral cases may be created directly from the Case Manager or from within a patient’s collaboration folder. For demonstration purposes, a patient referral will be initiated from the Case Manager. Creating a referral in the ddsWebLink system takes less than 2 minutes and opens a new case file that can be tracked, monitored and managed from start to finish.

• From the main dashboard, select Create a New Referral Case from within the Shortcuts section on the right
• Indicate case type
• Locate the appropriate patient collaboration folder
• Select the dentist or dental specialist to whom the patient is being referred
• Indicate files, documents or images to be shared
• Select tooth or teeth affected
• Choose the treatment type required
• Include pertinent notes or instructions
• Set alert notifications
• Send completed patient referral
